Getting to the event
Any participants who require travel assistance should contact Dave Neary <dave.neary@«engo.com> to make their request as soon as possible.
- By air
- Paris has three airports, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Paris Orly and Paris Beauvais.
- Ryanair fly to Paris Beauvais, so you might manage to get cheap flights there - but be prepared to pay €20 for a coach to Paris when you arrive, since the airport is about 50 km from the city center.
- Paris Charles de Gaulle is Paris's main airport. It is served by the RER line B, which costs €8 for a single trip to the city center, and takes about twenty five minutes.
- By train
- The train is worth considering from London, Brussels or most of France. Paris-Brussels is just over 1 hours by TGV, Marseille is 3.5 hours, and London is under 2 hours.
The Summit will be held in Epitech, a well-respected engineering university in Paris, near the Place d'Italie. Directions to get to the school can be found on the school's site, or here is a Google maps link
Within Paris, take the metro (line 7), direction "Mairie d'Ivry", and get off at Porte d'Italie.
From there, walk in the direction of the périphérique (look for a big Campanile sign and a Bricorama near the place "Porte d'Italie" to know you're going in the right direction). You will see the Etap and Novotel hotels on your left as you cross the Periphérique, Epitech is just next door to the Etap.
